Control Unit for Medical Gases
The boards are designed to monitor, control, and display gas pressures from up to eight remote sensors. |
It includes special features such as latching relay outputs that insure that the outputs are retained during power outages. |
This is a design example of a medical device that controls the distribution of medical gases.
IDC designed this circuit board assembly for a medical equipment company that incorporates
them into their gas pressure monitoring and control equipment. The board
includes sensor excitation and instrumentation amplifiers designed to work with
several different types of bridge transducers.
It automatically switches between primary and secondary sources of gas as well as notifies downstream equipment of tank status. A miniature rotary selector switch permits the board to easily be used in eight different types of applications.
